Lisa Jackson-indie rocker-refuses to be labeled, her original song lyrics…praise the bravery of those who dare to be different. Lisa’s fearless, powerful delivery, raw, energetic guitar with her band’s accompanying hard-driving sound push her tales of empowerment, transcending sexual & musical stereotypes.

Lisa and the band have been working their way around the US playing to packed houses at New York’s CBGB’s, Canal Room, China Club, and most recently Central Park for Aids Walk New York 2005. Lisa and the band also rocked thousands headlining at the Milwaukee Pride Fest (with Pat Benatar and The Motels); Minneapolis Block Party with the Psychedelic Furs & Sandra Berhardt, performing at venues such as Space land in Los Angeles, Schubas in Chicago, and The Fox Theater in Boulder Colorado.

Lisa’s band, Girl Friday is Steve Lavner on keyboards, Jeff Gurner on bass and Freddie Berman on drums. Girl Friday lays the foundation for Lisa’s Townsend-inspired guitar & powerhouse delivery.

After playing together for four years and sharing the bill with bands such as Powerman 5000, E-town Concrete, God Forbid, and Pinkweed; Strange Aeons has definitely cemented their position as the best thing to ever come out of Brodheadsville, PA.
